Last month, Turing Pharmaceuticals sparked global outrage when CEO Martin Shkreli raised the price of a drug called Daraprim from $13.50 a pill to $750.

Luckily, the medication is old enough that there are no trademark restrictions on it, so other companies are free to develop an identical medication at a lower price.

It took roughly one month for a competitor to come on the scene and offer a lower price.

This week, the San Diego based Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that it would be offering an alternative for roughly $1 per pill, or $99 for a 100-pill supply.

Being alive on Earth in a physical body can be difficult. Life is like an obstacle course, weight training program, or crash course in a tough subject.

Besides the fun and joy of being alive, there is also anger, fear, and suffering. But the negative stuff is what makes the game challenging and unique.

For many years now, a lot of people have been talking about “The Shift,” this mysterious transformation of human consciousness that is supposedly underway.

Ever since the end of the Mayan calendar in December of 2012, New Age types tend to twitter away about the evolution of the species, the revolution of love, and other hopeful but fuzzy seeming changes in what it means to be human. There was no doubt in inner circles that a message had been received from space. It was sent in English. It was specific. It was so shocking it had to be suppressed.

The alien sender never referred to himself by name or disclosed his planet of origin.
